I was originally thinking of having this plot set in small town America (probably Oregon). But I'm open to suggestions!

World Building

Danny is a werewolf, which is pretty important to the plot, and his character, so I'd like to keep the world somewhat urban fantasy.

Your character can be any species, and I'd love to do worldbuilding together!

Some notes about how I usually write werewolves:

  • I do usually like to use modified Alpha/Beta/Omega dynamics for my werewolves. For this plot, the main thing to know is that alphas have knots, and that alpha/alpha pairings are extremely taboo, and looked down on.
  • Prisons in this world are designed to separate different species onto different blocks. Alphas werewolves are kept on their own block.
  • In prison, to stop the werewolves from turning, they wear a stainless steal collar. If they try to shift, as they grow into their wolf form, they will be choked until their body is forced to return to the human form. This is especially painful and traumatic on full moons.

Plot

Danny is a middle aged werewolf who just spent the better part of the last 25 years in federal prison. After his release, all he wanted was to return back to his hometown, put the past behind him, and live peacefully. But the alpha would soon realize that life outside the big house wouldn't be much quieter lie on the inside.

Danny managed to find himself a shitty little apartment, and a job at the shitty little local gas station. Both of those felt like paradise compared to the conditions Danny had spent the last two decades under. However, when he meets his new parole officer- he starts to second guess his decision to come back to his home town.

Danny was used to dealing with men who chose positions of power for all the wrong reasons. But at his age, the last thing he expected was to be taken advantage of.
